Do you have an outstanding warrant or a delinquent traffic violation? Well, you’re in luck! The City of Atlanta has launched a new warrant amnesty program which will offer those who face arrest and other penalties due to overdue traffic violations, city ordinances, or other misdemeanors the chance to clear up those violations without additional court penalties. The contempt fees for past failure to appear will be waived and the warrant will be canceled.
Chief Judge Herman Sloan said, “We are pleased to extend an opportunity for individuals who previously failed to appear at a scheduled court appearance to come forward and resolve their case while saving money and avoiding arrest inthe process.”
The program is temporary and will last through Friday, March 27th. So don’t delay! For more information about eligibility go to court.atlanta.gov.
