Cooling Stations and Swimming Pools to Combat Heat Wave in Atlanta

Mayor Kasim Reed, Atlanta Fire Rescue, and the Department of Parks and Recreation have opened three cooling stations to help residents during the heat wave. The station are stocked with free water bottles. Residents, especially senior citizens, are strongly advised to take advantage of these cooling stations. Atlanta fire stations are also offering free bottled water.

Eleven city swimming pools will also be open for free for all patrons, including Adams, Anderson Candler, Rosa L Burney, Grant, Pittman, Powell, John A White, Rev. James Orange, South Bend, and Thomasville pools.
