Delta Gives $1 Million to Zoo Atlanta

The Delta Air Lines foundation announced a $1 million gift to Zoo Atlanta. The money will be used for the zoo’s planned expansion and to renoate the Cyclorama. The Zoo plans to take over the Cyclorama building and the land it sits on, and the famous ‘Battle of Atlanta’ painting will be moved to the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead.

The Zoo estimates the full cost of it’s projects to be $40 million. Thanks to a generous matching gift offer from the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation, only $20 million needs to be raised. Delta’s gift is a great start towards that goal.
